I got a new art journal last week. I want to have several that I am working in at the same time, so I can let one dry while I work on another. The first art journal I named “An Experiment in Color” since I usually tend to stick with the same color palette (don’t believe me? Look in my closet – everything is teal or purple or grey). I have learned so much in this first journal of mine. Ironically, I’ve spent the majority of my life abhorring the color pink and if you turn through the pages of that journal, there are massive amounts of hot pink. Turns out, I’m a pretty big fan of hot pink.
Since branching out in the realm of color has been so useful and educational… I wanted to focus on texture with this journal. I’m new to mixed media and art journaling…
